Daylight Savings Time 2008 Affected Products
As a convenience to our customers, we have always embedded the dates for the start and end of Daylight Savings Time into our products that have clocks. Starting in 2008, the dates for the beginning and end of Daylight Saving Time have changed in the US. The new 2008 start date for DST was the second Sunday in March. The 2008 end date is the first Sunday in November.
Prior to 2008, the start date for DST was the first Sunday in April, and the end of DST was the last Sunday in October.
This change was put into effect through an act of Congress and will have an impact on all products that contain real time clocks.
