HCLK8SS clock/programmer

The HCLK8SS uses a feature called “Auto Fill” to automatically populate the spring and fall DST dates. This feature calculates the dates based on the pre-2008 scheme of DST beginning on the first Sunday in April and ending on the last Sunday in October. Since these are no longer the correct dates, it will be necessary for you to disable the “Auto Fill” feature in your clock and manually enter the correct dates once each year. Updating the HCLK8SS “Auto Fill” feature to work with the new start and end dates for DST of the second Sunday in March and first Sunday in November will require a factory upgrade. This service can be performed by the Watt Stopper service department for a nominal charge. Contact the service department at 1.888.852.2778, then press 2 for field service and tell the representative that you would like to have your HCLK8SS upgraded with new DST firmware.

Note: HCLK8SS devices with firmware version 3.20 or newer require no further attention. To determine the firmware version for your clock, press the HELP key, and the revision # will be noted below the phone number.
