Course
101: LEED & Lighting Controls:
A Green Opportunity 1.5 AIA/CES
LU (HSW), 1.5 LEUs
An applications-based seminar that teaches lighting control solutions
for complying with LEED prerequisites and for achieving higher levels
of LEED certification. You will learn where lighting controls fit within
the context of LEED, how lighting control systems are used for meeting
the LEED energy code prerequisites, and how lighting controls can be used
for achieving higher levels of certification through providing personal
lighting control, and controlling both lighting and mechanical systems.
Course 102
Lighting Control Solutions for Daylit Spaces
1.5 AIA/CES LU (HSW), 1.5 LEUs
Provides an overview of how architectural daylighting design strategies
impact electric lighting control design. You will learn about principles
for controlling electric lighting in response to daylight for common architectural
daylighting designs, the commissioning requirements for daylighting controls,
and slam-dunk lighting control solutions for common applications.

201
Best Practices for Code Compliant Lighting Controls ASHRAE and IECC
1.5 AIA/CES LU (HSW), 1.5 LEUs
Provides a comprehensive overview of the ASHRAE 1999, 2001, and 2004 and
the 2003 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) code requirements
for lighting controls. These standards require automatic shut-off of lighting
in interior and exterior spaces, and individual space control. By attending
this program, you will learn the lighting control code requirements specific
to each code, how these requirements impact design decisions, and you
will learn which lighting control solutions will result in code-compliant
projects
