Founded in 1984 by brothers Jerry and Steve Mix in Santa Clara, California, WattStopper reflected their convictions about the importance of providing energy efficient, convenient, and accessible controls for the work environment. In developing these beliefs, WattStopper’s team introduced a new, innovative occupancy sensor product line.
In the years that followed, WattStopper expanded its occupancy sensor product offering, as well as developing control solutions using other technologies. Today, WattStopper offers a comprehensive range of control solutions for commercial applications, including digital lighting management, lighting control panel systems, occupancy sensors, daylighting controls, fixture sensors and controls, wireless lighting controls and plug load controls. In addition, the company has engineered groundbreaking residential products, including the revolutionary residential control products include convertible occupancy sensors, time switches and code-compliant vacancy sensors.
